Believe it or not, the last day of Sunday School for the year is quickly approaching. If you have a student in grades 3-7, please remind them about practicing their Hebrew Skills ( links here ). Also, we are planning an end of the year talent show. If your student has a talent they would like to share with us, please email me here. Rabbi Rachael & Ms. Maria have already signed up!
Reminder: If you need to pick up your child early on Sunday, please let me know ahead of time (if you can), and we will have your student waiting in the office for you to sign out.
See you Sunday, Beth
A PROGRAM ON THE SPREAD OF ANTISEMITISM ON CAMPUS
Led by Dr. Mark Goldfeder, Director of the National Jewish Advocacy Center in Atlanta and the expert on the Definition of Antisemitism bill in the Georgia General Assembly
Wednesday, May 3rd, 7-9PM at Temple Emanu-El
You’ll learn about: The spreading hate of Jews in our secondary schools and colleges and universities.
A panel will include: A Fulton County student who was terrorized with swastikas and death threats, and administrators said it was not antisemitism.
An Emory student who was viciously harassed by her classmates, holding her responsible for actions of Israel they disliked. Yet her administration could not determine if this was antisemitic or merely political. Take Action: You can participate in an interactive workshop on how to respond to the growing antisemitism on secondary school and college campuses in Georgia and elsewhere.
Invite family and friends who are non-TE members and those who are not Jewish. This is an important program for the entire community.
