7:30 PM - 8:30 PMTemple Emanu-ElSouthern Soul Shabbat is a unique and vibrant Friday night Shabbat Service at Temple Emanu-El that blends traditional Jewish liturgy with original melodies and live music with a distinctly Southern feel. Rabbis from Temple Emanu-El lead the service with Rabbi Micah Lapidus and his ensemble, including vocalists Melvin Myles and Caroline Goldberg and a rotating group of accompanists on bass, percussion, and strings.
