Deryn Sousa is AIPAC’s Southeast Deputy Regional Political Director. In this role, Deryn is responsible for briefing congressional candidates on the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship, keeping political activists updated on developments in the Middle East, key legislative initiatives and political races throughout the country, as well as mobilizing activists to lobby members of Congress on pro-Israel legislation. Prior to joining the Southeast team, she served as a Senior Research Analyst in AIPAC’s D.C.-based Policy and Government Affairs (PGA) department, where she focused on Syria, Lebanon and Hezbollah.
