Temple Emanu-El is a big place (and growing!). That said, feeling at home in a large community can be a challenge sometimes. Fortunately, we are blessed with dedicated congregants who make it their business to bring the diverse members of our congregation together. Throughout the year, we like to recognize our lay leaders for their hard work and for what they have done to transform our congregation. This year, the Dick Wilson and Rick Shapiro Memorial Golf Tournament will honor Cary Romanoff, the tri-chair of the TE Brotherhood, a leader of the Spring Forward Fundraiser, and someone who has dedicated his spare time to seeing through the success of Temple Emanu-El.  

I hope you’ll join me and dozens of TE golfers on Sunday, September 8th, as we honor Cary at Bear’s Best Golf Course. You don’t even need to be good at golf to join the fun. Speaking from personal experience, last year, my group was dead last in the standings but #1 in having a good time. All kidding aside, this tournament is a special experience. While we honor Cary, the proceeds of the tournament go to provide academic scholarships to first-year college students from our congregation.
